Qualcomm Unveils Snapdragon X Elite: A Game-Changer in Computing Performance.

The X Elite boasts 50% more cores than the M2 and consumes a substantially higher amount of power. As a result, it performs better on Geekbench in terms of "peak multi-thread performance." The Snapdragon X Elite is certainly far from being a "potato" and is anticipated to offer a substantial performance improvement over previous Snapdragon PC chips. The question of whether it will "beat" Apple's M2 remains open, with real-world performance comparisons yet to come.
